What began back in 1989 as a way for our four girls to get involved in 4-H quickly turned into a family passion. Over the years, raising and showing hogs became more than just a project, it became part of who we are. About ten years later our youngest daughter decided she couldn't part with her favorite Duroc guilt, and that one decision sparked the foundation of what is now Garigan Swine Farm.

Today, the next generation is carrying on the tradition. Our two grandchildren are now active in 4-H, learning the same lessons of responsibility, hard work, and pride that their mother and aunts once did. Watching them walk into the ring with hogs they raised reminds us why we started this journey in the first place for family, for fun, and for the love of great livestock.

Garigan Swine Farm is a family-run operation built on hard work, honestly, and a genuine passion for raising quality show hogs. What started as a small family project has grown into a trusted source for Duroc, Yorkshire, Berkshire, and Crossbred show hogs that combine sound genetics with the kind of care only a hands-on program can provide.
